Just Released: Hope Blooms!
Today we're celebrating the release of Hope Blooms by Called Collective, featuring Jess Littleton and Sharif Iman. Now that it's here, we're taking a closer look at the lyrics. From the opening lines, "There was darkness, now there's light" and "There was sorrow, now there's joy," the song proclaims that the power of the gospel cannot be contained, and our joy continues to grow wherever Christ is at work today.
The song describes the kingdom of God taking root like a flourishing garden. The chorus declares, "You say it's good, good ground / We believe that a harvest is pushing through / It's taking root, come watch it bloom." It invites us to see our city through God's eyes, to have faith that life will spring up in barren places. As the Church becomes a faithful witness, Jesus' presence brings renewal. Hope Blooms is an invitation to join in the ongoing work of bringing hope to a lost world.
